Post Production

After the  shoot day I was emailed all the raw clips of footage that I then downloaded onto my desktop from the drop box they were sent in, I did this as for the editing process it made it easier for me to access the content. Once the download was completed I then uploaded all of the video content onto my Premiere pro on my laptop, once this was done I was able to remove all the takes I was not happy with and order the clips to form the a rough draft of my opening sequence, which would then allow me to stat my editing process.

Once I was happy with the order of the sequence, I decided to create the sound for it, using Garageband, and using the speakers of my computer that created muffled sound, which was helpful in the case of the music I was trying to create as I wanted it to match the conventions of the horror genre. I also imported music that I had found on youtube into my GarageBand to add layers to my sound to create an original piece of eery music for my opening title sequence. I decided to use Garageband as I found it to be the easiest software for me to learn and do on my own.

After I was happy with my final edited product, I rendered my video which means that I let the computer regenerate each frame so it could be at its highest resolution. Once this process was complete I then exported my opening sequence onto my desktop as an MP4 file, so that I could easily upload it onto youtube so that it was very easy to embed on my blog.
